Review by hotel critic
Having chosen Red Roof Inn for a family vacation, our stay was a mix of highs and lows. The front staff exhibited commendable customer service, catering well to our needs. The hotel, with its outside entrance and spacious rooms minus carpets, was a satisfying retreat. The access to a large fridge and pet-friendly policy were advantageous for us, ensuring a comfortable stay.Although the location was convenient, with nearby dining options like Wendy’s and Denny’s, the traffic situation posed a challenge. Despite these minor inconveniences, our family found solace in the peaceful grass area, perfect for walking our dogs and unwinding.Reflecting on our time there, I recall the serene atmosphere after a bustling day exploring Charleston, home to the Charleston Battery. Our family savored the moments spent in the vicinity of the North Charleston Coliseum, embracing the vibrant sports culture of the area. While certain operational aspects may need refinement and the surroundings cleanliness improved, the hotel's family-friendly amenities and accommodating staff positively influenced our overall experience, making it worth considering for future visits.
